How to Use Artificial Intelligence Responsibly

We don't want to go deep into ethics and prefer to remain within the constraints of the applicable laws, so here are some practical steps to use AI responsibly in alignment with the GDPR and the other privacy regulations addressing AI risks:

  1. Data Minimization: Collect only the data necessary for the specific AI use case to limit potential privacy risks and comply with privacy laws. Avoid excessive data collection that might increase vulnerabilities.
  2. Transparent Data Practices: Inform users about how their data will be used within the AI model, specifying the purpose of data collection and the measures in place to protect privacy. Transparency builds trust and enables users to make informed decisions.
  3. Robust Security Measures: Implement strong security protocols to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access or potential breaches. This includes using encryption, regular audits, and secure storage practices to maintain privacy protection.

But if you avoid using personal data altogether, no need to sweat about it at all. But if you have to use it, consider applying privacy by design.
